Go, Go, Go….

I’m hoping to get back in the swing of things around here.  Just want you all to know I haven’t forgotten about you.

Anyway, what I really wanted to share is about the Planet Earth series on The Discovery Channel today – Saturday.  The episode that is on right now is the one of Fresh Waters of the Earth.  Oh my, it is amazing.  I have heard about it since the series came out earlier this year.  But I hadn’t seen any of the episodes yet.  Since I’m piled up feeling crummy today while it rains outside I thought I might as well watch it.  I’m really looking forward to the next episode – Ice Worlds.  There will be penguins.  I love penguins.

Lauren is having friends over today.  Michael is going to a friend’s birthday party after while.  So, they are all coming and going.  We are all supposed to go to the Opryland Hotel this evening to see the lights and decorations.  I’m hoping I can make it.  I’ve been going nonstop for 3 days and now it’s raining  – not a great combination inside my skin.

I had a Premier Jewelry party Thursday night.  I enjoyed it.  It has been years since I’ve seen any of the new stuff.  I sold it about 8 years ago.  I got quite a bit free jewelry.  So, I was pleased.  I got a number of Christmas presents.  So far, that’s the only shopping I’ve done – which suits me fine.

Ron had his board meetings this week.  I know he’s glad it’s over.  I went to dinner with them Wednesday night.  We went to a really fancy Seafood restaurant.  It’s the first time I have ever been there.  I thought it was really good.  But it was $35/person for the buffet.  It is pricey but the atmosphere was very professional and classy.  I doubt I will get to go back anytime soon so I enjoyed it while I was there.

Yesterday was the annual Christmas party at Ron’s office, Randall House.  I go every year.  It’s so much fun!  We play the Dirty Santa game.  It’s my favorite get together of the season every year.

We decorated for Christmas this week.  Our tree is beautiful.  We bit the bullet and bought a 7.5 foot artificial tree this year.  It is beautiful.  Since we always travel for Christmas a live tree just isn’t practical for us.  I will share some pictures of our decorations (tree, mantel, outside…) when I am back on my computer.  I spend the weekends on Ron’s laptop.

Well, we now have a houseful of 8th grade girls.  Poor Michael!  hahahahaha
