You Never Know Who You Will Meet At The Nashville Airport

Our plane arrived at the Nashville airport late sunday night. While waiting for our luggage at the baggage claim I saw Leeland. For those of you who do not know who he is, he is a Christian music artist. Here is one of his more popular songs that you might recognize.

Because I am Ron Hunter’s wife I happen to know that he will be one of the bands who will be at the D6 conference this year in Frisco, TX September 21-23. Sonicflood and Steven Curtis Chapman will also be there.  If you aren’t familiar with the D6 conference it is a conference started by my husband’s company, Randall House Publications, (which he is the CEO) to teach churches how to connect the family and the church in the lives of our children/families. This year will be the third year. Please visit the link if you would like to learn more about the conference. It is an incredible event full of amazing music and incredible speakers. A few of the speakers for this year’s conference are Voddie Baucham, Hayley DeMarco, Tim Kimmell, Josh Griffin (from Saddle Back Church) and John McGee (from Watermark Church). There are sooooo many others listed on the D6 website.

At any rate, I told Ron “there is Leeland“. He came over and chatted with us. I saw him in concert – FROM THE 3RD ROW – a couple of years ago for my birthday. He was touring with Casting Crowns at the start of his career. I got the kids’ picture with him.

Thanks, Leeland! I look forward to spending D6 with you and Sonicflood!
