Charlotte In Pictures

Believe it or not, I am back home. What a full week it has been! It was great though. I survived it! Here are just a few pictures to give you an idea. I’m working on getting the kids’ choir performance video up. But here is our week in pictures.

Family reunited

This picture was taken on Sunday after we have all been reunited. Ron had been in Dallas for the previous 10 days. Michael had been away at Truth & Peace. Needless to say I was happy to have my family all back in one place once again.

Me and my babies

This was taken the final night right before the awards program began. Each year at nationals the youth compete in tons of different music/arts and Bible competitions from other youth all around the country. The awards are awarded each Wednesday night following the evening services.

Choir before competition

This was the choir before they sang for their competition on Tuesday. Michael is the tall boy in the front row. Lauren is the girl third from the right on the front row in the white shirt.

This is where the video should appear. However, I haven’t figured out how to get it from my camera to the computer yet. It didn’t download with the all the pictures. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This is the choir, Xample, after they WON FIRST PLACE!!!

Michael is the boy on the right side, his girlfriend Hannah is standing next to him and Lauren is standing next to Hannah. We were so proud. They are very talented.

Close up of their medals

The winners are given a medal and a plague for their church. Here are the medals.

Here is one half of our hotel, Hilton Charlotte Center City

Usually there is a ton of walking at nationals because their are so many different hotels. But this year we were directly across the street from the convention center – where everything was happening – so the walk was easy.

They missed each other

My babies reunited! They missed each other!

On the drive home

I couldn’t pass up taking a picture of this! Could you?

  1. How wonderful! May your children keep on singing! I sang my whole life, up into a few years after college, when work got in the way of rehearsals, but it got me to quite a few places, including Rome and Carnegie Hall, with my college’s touring choir!
