Capture The Sun

I haven’t participated in You Capture in a long time. And I always enjoyed it. So, I’m gonna get back into the practice of participating. Each week Beth gives a theme and on Thursdays you post pictures of that theme.

This week’s theme is “Sunshine” and we all know how much I love taking pictures of the sun. So I knew I had to post about that. Here are just a few of the ones I’ve taken over the years.

Sunset over the Atlantic Ocean on our Costa Cruise in 2010. Breathtaking that night.

This was taken on the way to a soccer game the other night. I positively adore taking pictures of the sky. You can see that if you look at my Facebook.

This was taken in 2008 during a Hunter family Ski Trip in the mountains of North Carolina. I specifically remember tell Ron to stop the car so I could get out and get this shot. It just takes my breath away with the beauty.

If you like to share pictures on your blog consider clicking the button in my sidebar or follow any links in this post and joining Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry and jump on board. The pictures are always breathtaking.

Friends With Cameras

This was the sky today at Nashville Shores! Ahhhhhhhhhhh Definitely gonna link this up to the SkyWatch Friday blog this week. I’ve been missing it lately. It’s time to get back on track! I have friends sending me sky pictures all the time now. Here is one I got last night.

Palm Beach Gardens FL

Our friends Robin and Steve live in Florida. They are in Palm Beach Gardens this weekend. Steve sent me this sunset picture because he and Robin know I love sky pictures. Steve is a man of many talents. Check him out at his blog, Faison Focus. We’ve all been friends for 25 years. He’s actually the one who introduced me to my sweet Ron. He sang at our wedding. He has been a friend all these years. You just don’t get better friends than he and his wife. Plus he takes good sunset pictures!

Skywatch Friday – Dominican Republic

It has been so gray for so many days here lately.  I just had to share a picture from our cruise when it was beautiful.  This one is for this week’s Skywatch Friday entry.  It is the sunset in the Dominican Republic.  How beautiful!  I miss the warm weather!

Gifts That Can’t Be Wrapped In A Box

I am finally back to my computer – which means I am finally back to blogging on a normal basis.  I have sooooo missed it.  I have missed all of you.  I hope you are still coming around.  I am blessed by your comments and the connection I feel with each of you.  I pray all of you had as blessed a Christmas as we did.  Santa found me here and then he found me in Florida too.  He brought me all kinds of goodies.   Continue reading

Skywatch Friday – It’s A Beautiful Sunset

This is a picture of the sunset one night in our neighborhood.  I’m so glad we moved here to Abbington Park because God gives US the best sunsets of any other neighborhood in Nashville!  After enjoying it I hope you will consider visiting the Skywatch Friday website to visit some other awesome sky pictures from around the world.  Perhaps you will even consider joining and sharing some of your own.

Skywatch Friday – Dominican Republic Sunset

After spending a week cruising the Eastern Caribbean I couldn’t wait to start sharing some of the amazing sky photos I got.  It’s hard to know where to start.  So I just picked one.  You can be sure though that every one of my Skywatch Friday pictures from now till the end of time will probably be pics from our cruise.  GLORIOUS!!  I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Skywatch Friday – God’s Handiwork

Today is Skywatch Friday.  While I am not actually able to post one of the glorious sky shots from the cruise ship at this particular time.  I thought I would post one of the many pictures of Florida sunsets that I have in my phone.  Because my in-laws live on the Escambia Bay in Pensacola I have some truly beautiful sunset shots from visits to their house.  The Lord surely gives them a number of miraculous sunsets each night.  This is just one of the many.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we do when we are there.

The colors are always so vivid.  It’s as if God gets out His paintbrush each night and paints the most beautiful colors He can.  He is the greatest artist of the universe.

Thank you, God, for sharing your work with us every day/night.
