Lunch! Lunch! Lunch! Lunch! Lunch! Can you tell where my mind is? This week’s You Capture theme is a familiar theme with me – LUNCH! While I’m always fairly common with taking pictures of my food these pictures come from this laptop. So here are a few pictures from this laptop. Leave me a link so I can come visit yours as well. These pictures were taken while on our most recent cruise. Enjoy!
One of our waiters bringing us our Wednesday night dinner we special order – all because Lauren special ordered it!
All about the cheesecake!!
Just one of our daily menus for Michael one night
Just in case you didn’t know where to find lunch
That’s all of my pictures for this week. Can’t wait to see next week’s theme. What could it possibly be next week? SHOPPING???? Could it get any better than this? Holy Moly This week was incredible!
This week’s You Capture this week is Yellow. I’m not too sure exactly which colors I have in my cell phone but I supposed we are getting ready to find out. I’ve been sitting here with the color “yellow” on my brain for a while now. I knew what post I was going to write about but then I remembered that I had left my book at home. So YELLOW it is!
I flipped over to You Capture to check the color and found the word YELLOW. So off we go!
My city, Nashville, taken during a beautiful storm late at night
Lauren with her favorite teacher, Mr. Amos
It was wear your favorite college tee shirt day (she didn’t know that her fav shirt then was not really her fav shirt)
Me, wearing my fav yellow shirt, and hubs in our fav restaurant
And that is all she wrote! Now what is yours????
This week’s theme for You Capture over at I Should Be Folding Laundry is an easy one for me. I can hardly wait to get it posted and linked up. The theme is “An Animal”. There have been a lot of animals in my life. But in 2002 Lauren fell in love with one of Ron’s aunt’s dogs. She said if this dog ever had puppies Lauren could have one. In October 2002 that happened. She contacted us and told us about the puppies. Without seeing any of the puppies I chose a female and told her we would name her Faith. We agreed that when we went to Florida for Christmas we would pick her up. This is the precious baby we picked up that day in December.
Is that not the cutest little thing you have ever seen? She was just a little fur ball with ears! She was a big hit from first sight. She stole all of our hearts right away – even Ron’s who had no idea we were even getting a dog until Lauren and I walked in his dad’s house carrying her after picking her up. Bless his heart! He never knows when we are going to get a pet until them are already here. He’s happy though. She’s his little angel. They are both in love with each other. Actually she’s stolen everyone’s heart around here.
Michael and Faith 2003
10 years old and just as adorable – 2012
I’m off to link up at Beth’s blog. I’m looking forward to checking out the linked blogs this week since it’s animal week. I love me some animal pictures. Thanks for stopping by to see Faith’s pictures. She’s a doll!
If you’re not using your smile, you’re like a man with a million dollars in the bank and no checkbook. – Les Giblin
When Ron and I first started dating I noticed that Ron rarely smiled. He was in the army and always tried to portray a tough soldier. I taught him to lighten up and encouraged him to smile more often. I’m pleased to say that I very rarely have to tell him to smile anymore. While he still has a serious personality he is prone to laugh and smile more often.
The theme for You Capture this week is Smile. So simple yet sometimes so hard to do. As someone with a chronic illness it’s not always easy to smile through the pain. I’m sure at times the smile doesn’t come across as genuine on my face. But our world is so fast paced that there are times I’m not positive anyone looks long enough to notice if it’s a real smile or not. You know what I’m talking about. You know the kind of smile that starts in a person’s eyes and makes their face shine. That’s a real smile. The smile that one paints on when they have to is the fake smile. Some people are hard to read. Michael, our son, is the easiest person in the world to read. When he has a fake smile on his face he might as well be wearing a flashing sign on his forehead that says FAKE. All you really have to do though is give him a little poke in the side and you get a real smile out of him because he’s so ticklish.
There’s a real smile from Michael at a year old when he was cruising the couch!
There is one of those “I’ve smiled 8000 times for 8000 different pictures tonight at prom and I’m tired of smiling” smiles at prom with his sister in May 2012.
Now there’s a sweet smile that is priceless to this Mama. How I managed to get that picture I’ll never know. I heard her on the baby monitor just talking up a storm after a nap. I peeked in the door and saw this. I managed to go get the camera and sneak back in to get this picture all without disturbing her enough to make her get up. I still see that precious smile in my mind like it was yesterday.
This is the beautiful smile I see all the time now. She was trying to buckle her shoe while balancing on a soccer ball while her other heel was sinking into the grass.
This past week I got to spend some time with one of my favorite people, besides my family. She always makes me smile because she holds a special piece of my heart. She is my best friend. Best friends share a special bond and a special smile reserved just for best friends.

Go spread some kindness today and share a smile.
Today I’m getting back into the swing of things by linking up to You Capture over at I Should Be Folding Laundry. This week’s theme is Things You Love. That’s super easy! So jump on over to check out the weekly challenge. She always posts the next week’s challenge so you can start getting your pictures this week.
This pictures shows two things that I love – my honey, Ron, and my FSU Seminoles!!!
With Mamaw and Papaw (my parents)
And this one also has two of my faves – my kids and my parents!
This is my Mamaw with what she loved, flowers! I’m pretty sure my Mamaw hung the moon and lit the sun every morning.
My gorgeous children having fun during their senior pictures! I love all of their senior pictures and could fill up pages and pages and pages of this blog full of them. But these shots are just in my top 3 favorites.
And last but not least I love this little Shih-Tzu named Faith! She puts a smile on our faces every day.
That’s just a quick collection of things I love. Next week’s theme for You Capture is Shapes. That will be fun! I’ll start snapping pictures today!
A Prayer in Spring
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfil.
The theme for You Capture over at Beth’s Blog, I Should Be Folding Laundry
, is SPRING! I think spring is so much more beautiful because we’ve just drug ourselves through the cold and dreary days of winter. The pictures I’m sharing today are shots I’ve taken in the last 6 weeks. I’m looking forward to the Summer theme in a few weeks so I’ll be able to share pictures of my flowers – after I buy them of course.
This is a beautiful flower that Michael’s girlfriend’s younger sister picked for me at Michael’s soccer game last night. So sweet!
These are beautiful flowers at our resort trip to Phoenix Arizona last month. They were all so vibrant and smelled beautiful!
Reading in the hammock on a Spring afternoon. Perfection!
Faith enjoys the warm sun of spring too.
When she’s not enjoying the hammock with me. Ok – actually she was begging me to go inside.
The best part about Spring for me is a trip to the beach with a good book!
Come visit You Capture

I haven’t participated in You Capture in a long time. And I always enjoyed it. So, I’m gonna get back into the practice of participating. Each week Beth gives a theme and on Thursdays you post pictures of that theme.
This week’s theme is “Sunshine” and we all know how much I love taking pictures of the sun. So I knew I had to post about that. Here are just a few of the ones I’ve taken over the years.
Sunset over the Atlantic Ocean on our Costa Cruise in 2010. Breathtaking that night.
This was taken on the way to a soccer game the other night. I positively adore taking pictures of the sky. You can see that if you look at my Facebook.
This was taken in 2008 during a Hunter family Ski Trip in the mountains of North Carolina. I specifically remember tell Ron to stop the car so I could get out and get this shot. It just takes my breath away with the beauty.
